What we check
- Tithi: not Amavasya or a Rikta tithi (4th, 9th, 14th).
- Nakshatra: one classically favoured for your event.
- Yoga and karana: not Vyatipata, Vaidhriti or Vishti (Bhadra).
- Tarabala: the day's star counted from your birth star is not the 3rd, 5th or 7th tara.
- Chandrabala: the Moon is not 8th or 12th from your Moon sign.
- Daytime only, outside Rahu Kala.
The exact muhurta for a ceremony, including the Lagna, should be confirmed by your family priest or an astrologer.
